Reporting to the Executive Director the IT Manager will co-ordinate the day to day operations, provide technical vision and strategy for the IT Department. The right candidate will be able to define, establish, plan and administer policies/operational needs with in all IT Departments including Network and Security, Database Management, Disaster Recovery and Licence Compliance. Recommends, amends, and supervises implementation of policies and procedures. Also analyze the current/ future operational needs of other company department’s in terms of Hardware, Software and development/ programming of new applications. Would initiate, plan and manage all new projects, create business plans and prepare the IT budget. Overall management of the IT staff, oversee their development, training, progress via the section heads. Ensure that all operational controls/ contingency plans comply with departmental guidelines and that performance against those contracts is monitored and meets performance targets. Prepare and deliver IT Department progress reports to the Executive Director. Liaise with external suppliers for acquisition and maintenance of infrastructure assets and services, including hardware, software and any outsourced services.

Competence in Microsoft methodologies and technologies (.net framework, programming, software development, lifecycle methodology, Microsoft and Oracle technologies.) Clear understanding of IT financial management, development of cost models and understanding implications of pricing and funding.
