• Process incident tickets in a timely and complete manner, providing first line server infrastructure support • Install and configure servers according to KBR global architectural standards. • Back-end installation and management of network printers on regional file and print servers • Deployment, support and maintenance of server backup infrastructure • Ensure adherence to regional and global standards • Manage backup jobs • Monitor and report on regular backup activity • Process restore requests submitted by end users and in response to server failure • Track backup tapes shipped to remote sites and offsite storage • Manage shipping and warranty aspects of server infrastructure break/fix support • Track server hardware shipped to and from remote sites • Coordinate with the warehouse on sent and received items • Coordinate with suppliers on warranty claims
Minimum of five years of experience in IT Appropriate level of technical understanding of technologies used: • Windows servers (2000/2003 platform) • Hardware – Dell, IBM, Compaq, EMC • Backup technologies & software (ARCserve, TSM, Net backup) • Systems Management Server 2003 Scripting, self managing and motivated, accepts responsibility and accountability, customer focused, communication, problem solving, strong organizational skills, good written and spoken
