• Process regional messaging-related requests and incident tickets in a timely, complete, and professional manner. • Monitor and maintain the regional messaging infrastructure o Monitor Exchange server backups to ensure they run as scheduled o Monitor server capacity levels to prevent outages o Ensure servers are consistently configured according to global architecture standards o Troubleshoot and resolve Exchange application and mailflow problems o Apply patches and hotfixes as required o Work with global messaging operations and architecture groups to regionally implement global standards o Level mailboxes on servers with multiple stores o Proactively review Exchange server performance • Install and remove Exchange servers, as required. • Attend regular global messaging team conference calls and keep the rest of the SDC informed of developments • Reporting and Documentation o Maintain regular records of messaging-related metrics o Provide reports on a regular and one-off basis o Maintain and develop scripted reports for automated Exchange reporting o Generate and maintain procedure and standards documentation related to all messaging support activities. o Continually review overall exchange monitoring and reporting and provide improvements
Minimum of five years supporting Microsoft Exchange Appropriate technical understanding of relevant technologies • Windows Server 2003 • Exchange 2003 installation and support • Exchange disaster recovery and HA planning and support • Active Directory Scripting, self managing and motivated, accepts responsibility and accountability, customer focused, communication, problem solving, strong organizational skills, good written and spoken English skills
