DISTRITO NACIONAL. The open, airy National Aquarium is located just a short drive out of the city and offers visitors a glimpse of the Caribbean's diverse, colorful sea life. A particular area of interest is the aquarium's Plexiglas tunnel, which lets visitors walk directly through the aquarium. The complex boasts more than 3,000 marine inhabitants. Guided tours available.
