Senior QA Engineer

Yahoo! Groups QA is searching for an experienced client and web savvy, talented, highly motivated, quality focused, process oriented and successful senior QA engineer to join our team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The individual must have a combination of solid in-depth knowledge of QA, QA's goals, working with QA and non-QA groups, and extensive background in solid test coverage of complex commercial Enterprise Web-applications in 24x7 production environments. She/He is responsible for providing Quality Assurance for server based technologies. This will include the creation of test suites and test harness for front and backend testing, including API testing, automating UI test cases, defining test plans and test specifications, designing tools for automated performance testing, execution of test cases, and reporting product failures. Following project milestones, design, implement, document, and/or execute tests; evaluate and communicate results; develop API tests; and investigate product features (including ad hoc testing). The candidate will be expected to communicate clearly and effectively. The successful candidate would also be responsible for setting up the processes required to promote the overall quality of the product.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Solid 7+ years of outstanding track record as a grey-box and white-box QA engineer.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Expert in testing and leading black, gray and white-box QA. Active team participant with strong technical and personal leadership skills.
  • Strong hands-on experience writing QA test plans and test cases while executing them. Expert in QA methodologies, procedures & documentation.
  • Strong hands-on experience in test harness tools development, and automated (front and backend) testing in the client and web world.
  • Expert in client testing as well as web testing with multiple Web configurations, Web browsers and Windows platforms.
